Technology review- Canon PowerShot SX 150 IS

The Canon PowerShot SX 150 IS is a laconic camera, but with a much larger frame than its peers. So though we appreciate its larger-standard SLR- like (single lens reflex) grip and ease of handling when shooting , it’s not that consolidated.

The camera takes sharp, vivid HD images through its 28mm inclusive-angle lens — even when zoomed out to its optimum 12x optical zoom . It has a 3- inch LCD protection, a retractable flash and a range of automatic and manual modes. Also integrated is the 4-top canny Image Stabilizer (IS) which reduces blurriness if there’s camera shake. Disappointingly, the SX 150 is a bit disinclined — it has shutter lag. It takes about 1,3 sec between pressing the shutter button and capturing the mould. This makes it difficult to shoot fast-moving objects. It runs on a Digic 4 processor, has an optical likeness stabiliser and takes 720p videos.

What new perspective can you bring to something people have seen or heard or experienced a million times before? It isn’t unhurried. And more often than not, we fail or fall short. But those rare times when you succeed, that’s when you get the most requite, both for yourself as an artist, and for the viewer or audience.”
