Brisbane cover-maker Geoff McLeod has applied to have a $40,000 advertisement publish on television to change laws requiring all cyclists to wear helmets when riding.
He said the laws were top for halting “utility bike rides” and had contributed to the rising weight rate.

One kind of brainwave commands the bike to downshift; another causes it to budge up. ‘Sounds kind of crazy, right?’ says Patrick Miller, chief creative engineer at Deeplocal, the company responsible for the digital end of this Prius X Parlee bicycle (PXP). ‘We underestimated how magical it would touch to shift with your mind.’ PXP is a joint venture of Deeplocal; Parlee Cycles, a bike maker that handcrafts carbon-fibre bikes; and Toyota, maker of the Prius cross-breed car. The team set out to create the Prius of bicycles.”
