Ducati’s drawing near Panigale 1199 superbike will be powered by the most extreme engine ever tailor-made to a production motorcycle!

Called the Superquadro, the all-new 90-degree V-clone will produce a huge 192bhp at 10,750rpm, and 97.6lb.ft of torque at 9,000rpm. The machine is astonishingly oversquare, meaning the bore size is much bigger than the smack, with dimensions of 112 x 60.8mm. This allows very high rpm for a big twin-cylinder auto, and also means Ducati has been able to fit very large diameter valves to maximise gas go - both of these factors are essential ingredients in achieving such a high power diagram, which is on a par with BMW’s definitive S1000RR and the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R.
